Collide Behavioral Health is founded on the idea that our current system of treating mental health is simply not working. Adding more medication, increasing the doses and having individuals suffer from debilitating side effects is not the answer. At Collide mental health is looked at in a holistic manner where nutrition plays a major role in why the individual is suffering from mental health symptoms.
Collide follows the integrative medicine movement where we stray away from the idea of a “pill for ill” of modern western medicine. . We seem to be drifting away from the goal of making people well and something needs to be done about it.
Collide focuses on how everything impacts your mental health: from what you ate for breakfast to how that conversation with your boss went. Collide talks about nutrition, exercise, sleep, wellness, and cognitive health and those are the main areas the blog will be covering.
